Victoria Rootsfest Music Festival was held at Sandown Park on August 16 - 18, 2002.

Applications for Rootsfest 2003 will be accepted between October 1, 2002 and January 31, 2003. To cut down on your cost and the wastage of unused packages that we recieve, we would prefer that you send us a brief email with a link to your website.

Get on your bike, catch a BC Transport bus or take the ferry to Victoria Rootsfest. Find out the best way to get there.
 
 In Brief    Accommodation

  • Don't bring your pets
  • Do bring your family and friends
  • Don't bring alcohol or drugs
  • Do bring a blanket
  • Don't bring lawn chairs with legs over eight inches (be festival friendly!)
  • Do bring a plastic portable mug
  • Don't bring glass containers
  • Do bring your dancing shoes
  • Don't bring tape or video recorders
  • Do plan to stay for a while...

Be sure to ask for any Victoria Rootsfest discounts offered at Travellers Inn's, Accent Inn or Laurel Point Inn as well as Gatsby Mansion.
 
 Seating    Environment

Rootsfest runs rain or shine. Seating is on the grass so bring a blanket or chair. No lawnchairs or beachchairs with legs over 8 inches. An area has been set aside to accommodate patrons in wheelchairs.
 
 
To help reduce the amount of garbage at the festival, please use the recycling depots on site. By bringing a reusable plastic mug, you can further reduce the amount of garbage. Thank you!
