Camping at Sandown Park     Special Offer

Camping at Victoria Rootsfest is divided into two camping areas - a Family area (a quiet area for families) and the General area (a larger space suited to those who want to stay up a little longer, singing songs, jamming and telling stories). It is only a 3 minute walk to the Rootsfest Main Gate at Sandown Park.

These basic camping area's are offered as a service for festival patrons who would enjoy the festival and the "large group camping" environment. The sites have ample space for vehicle camping including campers, vans, motor homes, trailers and, of course, tents. There is no running water or electrical hookups, but portable toilets will be provided.

Alcohol, pets and open fires are not permitted. On site security will be present.

Campsites can be reserved by calling Island Displays at 385-3541. Sites are reserved on a first-come first-served basis. Some special requests will be honored. eg., sites reserved beside each other.

Those who are camping and who would like to purchase 10 or more weekend passes can do so at a special discounted price of $50 per ticket.

Ticket prices are now $69 for each weekend pass. You can save an additional $19 per ticket if you book your campsite and purchase tickets through Island Displays.

 Camping Costs    General Camping Area

Each vehicle camp site location is valued at a $50 flat fee - valid for the duration of the Festival.

Stay one night or four nights for the same price. That is four nights for $50. Compared to a hotel stay at $125 per night this is exceptional value.

  • 80 vehicle sites available.
  • Each site is approx. 20' by 20'.
  • Vehicle camping, including campers, camperized van's, motor homes and other recreational vehicles.
  • Vehicle and towed camping unit including trailers, tent trailers, fifth wheel units.
  • Room to park your vehicle along-side your towed unit.
This entire area is very similar to Group Camping facilities at Provincial Parks. It has no running water or electrical hook ups. Trailer servicing - including water and sani-station - are located right across McDonald Park Road at Triangle RV Centre (1 minute walk from your location).
